I chose Xi, the fourteenth letter in the Greek alphabet. It is pronounced as "ksi" ( "zie", phonetically). It is not to be confused with the Greek letter Csi (phonetically pronounced "kai"). In the Greek numeric system, it holds a value of 60. It is a descendant of the Phoenician letter Samekh, derived from s āmek, meaning fish. Its uppercase variant is used to represent cascade particles and xi baryons in physics. Its lowercase variant can be used to represent spatial and temporal frequency, the extent of a chemical reaction, the initial mass function in astronomy, and the correlation function in astronomy.
